NEW DEVELOPMENT CLEANING UP FOR THE FIRST ENVIONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PROJECT IN HUA HIN

World Environment Day 5^th June 2008 lasts for 80 days

The Falls project, plan to work with the government organization for the environment in Thailand (M.O.N.R.E) to identify and implement best practice solutions to reduce carbon emissions, conservation of nature and eco-friendly consumption to become the first "Environmentally" friendly resort in Hua Hin.

They are drafting in specialists from Austria (ranked amongst one of the cleanest countries in Europe) to consult on environment friendly materials, waste efficiency including Hua Hin's first recycling plant.

The Falls was born from as idea of Paul Derstroff and Mike Ruess, both from Vienna in Austria. Paul has considerable experience with development in Europe and Russia, and 12 years marketing management experience with a multinational company. Mike has been a very successful restaurant and club/bar owner for 16 years and is highly acclaimed in the food and beverage industry.

We were quite surprised when we came to Hua Hin that there were no real measures in place to promote a cleaner environment helping the world organization complete a cycle spanning every continent with the commitment to lower carbon emissions and become a climate friendly country.

This is such an important thing for us I have come from an environment which is actively promoting simple things like Just turning off unused lights, motors, computers and heating can substantially reduce wasted energy. We Plan to switch to energy sources that emit less carbon and can reduce costs and emissions like using solar power or lower carbon technologies such as generators powered by natural gas to attain what is known as ‘carbon offset' or ‘carbon credit'. This new approach considers environmental aspects at all stages of development to create products and a life style where this can be seamlessly incorporated.

Before deciding on Hua Hin as a destination for their dream, they spent 2 years thoroughly researching the second home and 50+ markets in Europe. They visited 20 countries in the end Thailand came out as the only logical destination for this type of resort, in terms of climate, cost of living, friendliness, safety and logistically placed in the world.

Their aim was to provide a service orientated paradise for people from all over the world to consider as their second home or retirement dream

The BOI allows foreign companies to keep 100% ownership and control of the company and their purchased land provided that the foreign company adheres to strict guidelines, procedures and policies laid down by the Ministry of Economics.

Without the BOI approval we would have not invested in Thailand. This gives our clients a real peace of mind to securely and legally purchase property in Thailand. We have invested 1.3 billion baht in the project in Hua Hin, this investment will help stimulate the economy by providing jobs for Thai people and a high standard or training programs for all the employees at The Falls.
